Probate Department
The Probate Department at Hawley & Rodgers provides a service from all three offices.
It deals with the following types of work:
- Probate, including high value estates.
- Wills, including Inheritance Tax planning.
- Trusts: setting them up
- managing them
- taxation thereof
- Enduring Powers of Attorney.
- Court of Protection including acting as Panel Receiver for the Public Guardianship Office.
- Protection of assets: advice re care fees.
Currently all fee earners dealing with this work are Solicitors ensuring an ability to deal with the more complex matters in accordance with your instructions.
Alan Mangham
Alan is the Partner in charge of the Probate Department and specialises in Probate, Wills, Tax, Trusts and Court of Protection work.
Apart from being a Solicitor he has a degree in economics from Cambridge University and extensive experience of face to face work with the elderly. He has been specialising in his current field of law since 1996.
Michael Morris
Michael Morris is an experienced solicitor who specialises in Divorce work (particularly cases involving substantial assets) and Elderly client work including wills, Probate, Inheritance tax planning and court of protection work.
Caroline Williams
Caroline is a Partner and has expertise in wills, trusts, probate and Court of Protection work.
Jane Duckitt
Jane is a solicitor with this firm and is able to advise on wills, trusts, probate and Court of Protection work.
